Services

Nursing Services

 

  • The home provides residents with nursing staff services provided by a Director of Operations, a Nurse Manager, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Resident Attendants. Rehabilitation Attendnt and a Office clerk.
  • The doctor conducts regular medical visits and is available on call 24 hours a day.
  • Pharmaceutical services are provided by a licensed pharmacy, and a pharmacist is available on call at all times.
  • Foot care services are available upon request. The associated costs are the responsibility of the resident or their family.

Palliative care

 

  • The home offers comprehensive palliative care. The care team encourages the participation of loved ones during this stage of life.
  • The home has a lounge for families and loved ones during these difficult times.
  • Upon request, a chaplain can be called to provide the desired spiritual services.

Rehabilitation

 

  • A Rehabilitation Attendant is present at the home every week. She conducts assessments upon admission and regular follow-ups thereafter and as needed.
  • A consultation service with the professional team of the Extra-Mural program, which includes an occupational therapist, a physiotherapist and a speech therapist, is available.

  • The Rehabilitation Attendant ensures that these consultations are properly followed up.

Food and Nutrition Services

 

  • The goal of the Food Services is to provide a pleasant, enjoyable, and safe meal service to all our residents, as close as possible to what they would experience at home.
  • Three meals and two snacks are offered every day. The three meals of the day are served in the dining room, which provides a warmer atmosphere and also allows residents to socialize during mealtime. 
  • The menu offered at the nursing home is based on local eating habits and also takes into account the preferences, tastes, and requests of our residents.
  • Menus are posted in each section of the nursing home for residents and families.
  • A clinical nutrition service is offered to all residents by a professional Dietitian.
  • The Dietitian conducts nutritional assessments of residents according to a pre-established schedule and as needed.
  • The Dietitian works in collaboration with the Lead Cook on menu planning.

Leisure Services

 

  • The Recreation Coordinator and volunteers organize a variety of leisure and activities for all residents, to maintain a good quality of life.
  • A program of monthly activities is available at the entrance of the activity room. Family members and friends are encouraged to participate with the residents.
  • Residents have the services of a chaplain and access to a chapel to meet their spiritual needs. Mass is celebrated on site once a month.

Housekeeping

 

  • The housekeeping team takes pride in maintaining the residents’ rooms, dining room and common areas of the nursing home for a pleasant, clean atmosphere.

Laundry

 

  • The nursing home provides an on-site laundry service for residents’ personal clothing.
  • On admission and when new clothing is purchased, residents’ personal clothing will be labeled by staff.
  • Bedding and towels are sourced and maintained by an external supplier.

Maintenance and safety

 

  • The nursing home offers a repair and maintenance service for the building’s equipment, as well as for the grounds, in order to make the environment both attractive and safe.
  • Some minor repairs or adjustments to equipment required by residents can be made by maintenance staff. All requests must be made via the Registered Nurse.
  • The nursing home is equipped with an alarm system including an anti-runaway component.
  • A restricted access system exists where certain areas of the nursing home are restricted to employees only.
  • A pager system that transmits alarms from residents’ rooms is used by employees.
  • A camera surveillance system is in place and used for security measures.
  • Fire drills are conducted monthly.
  • The main entrance doors are locked between 8:30 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.

Hairdresser and Barber Services

 

  • Residents have access to a Hairdresser and a Barber in the salon. Associated costs are the responsibility of the resident or his/her guarantor.
  • Access times and a list of associated costs are posted outside the salon, along with a locked box for depositing associated payments.

Care unit :

 

  • Complexe Rendez-vous Inc. has one care unit accommodating a total of 30 residents.
    (Levels 3A, 3B and 3G)
